EAIC is looking to add a full-time General Accountant to support the accounting department of
the company and multinational clients of the company (the “Clients”) on general accounting, tax,
audit and corporate compliance activities. The job reports to the Chief Accountant and is under
the authority of the Board of Directors (the “BOD”).
The job also includes liaising with the Clients and various stakeholders. This includes discussions with multinational and executive-level members of the Clients; corresponding with political members and government officials on license, permits and concessions; coordinating with lawyers, consultants and advisors on various legal, accounting, finance, tax, audit related issues; and coordinating with other team members of EAIC.
Below is the general description of the job:
1. General Accounting: Responsible to oversee general accounting activities of EAIC and the companies of the Clients
- Assist with maintaining general ledger transactions
- Documentation and record preparation/retention for general ledger transactions
- Assist and plan with implementation of country tax and financial statement compliant modules including Vietnam Accounting Standards, ACRA (Singapore), Cayman and BVI
- Liaise with related parties (e.g. vendors, and suppliers) to collect supporting documents.
- Prepare tax and financial statement reports
- Liaise with auditors
2. Project Accounting: Responsible to oversee project accounting activities of the Clients
- Prepare and update budget forecasts for projects of the Clients
- Record and maintain records for specific projects and sub-projects for the master project
- Ensure documentation for projects meet local compliance requirements, and meet corporate expectations and requirements
- Undertake reconciliations and financial records for suppliers and the projects they relate
- Develop and undertake reporting templates for projects, sub-projects and suppliers
- Assist management team with project co-ordination, with a focus on cash-flow management
- Assist with finance and drawdown matters with lenders and project partners, in conjunction with group finance heads.
- Liaise with related parties (e.g. vendors, and suppliers) to collect supporting documents.
3. Finance and Accounting Administration: Responsible to oversee the financial and accounting controls of the Clients
- Oversee and update accounting and finance policies, procedures, forms and templates
- Prepare and monitor financial controls on budget and procurement
- Review draft contracts
- Support with payment processing
- Support with bank account setup and management
- Support and liaise with foreign accounting/finance teams
- Support in preparation and lodgment of management reports
- Coordinate signatures for the accounting, audit, tax and other financial requirements
